Accomplishments

Attorney Coleman has held office as President of her Junior High School Class, Secretary for BALSA while in Law School and Correspondence Secretary for approximately five Presidents of the Mound City Bar Association of Missouri.  She is a member of the American Bar Association, Mound City Bar Association and National Bar Association. 

Some of the major accomplishments Attorney Coleman has experienced during her career includes: earning a law degree over a 21 year period while married, having and raising a family (including the death of her oldest child), opening the first all-woman African American law firm in St. Louis, becoming the first certified bond counsel and underwriters counsel in the red book in St. Louis; becoming the first woman and African American Clerk and Legal Counsel for the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis, running for Mayor of the City of St. Louis, and opening a law firm with her niece to promote a family legacy.
